A Review of The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

In the book “the Miracle morning” you will learn so much about how starting your day on the right foot can mean all of the difference. This book goes over morning routines of successful individuals and how it has helped them achieve success. I actually heard about this one day listening to the “Rich Dad Radio Show” one day and immediately became interested. Hal goes over his struggles and how The Miracle Morning has helped him overthrown these struggles.

The Book The Miracle Morning

The Miracle Morning is a book about finding a purpose and making time for it. The author, Hal Elrod, has an interesting story about how he got into a terrible accident and was declared dead for six minutes. He came back from this accident just to go through a few more ups and downs. These life experiences, both good and bad, led him to become a better and more productive person. He goes on to teach his readers his many great lessons for life.

He goes over many steps to become more productive and opening up your mind. In the book, he even gives “five snooze proof steps” to waking up and not hitting the snooze button that we all fall victim to. A big theme he goes over is telling yourself the right things. He states in the book that if he slept for 4, 5, or 6 hours and told himself that it wasn’t enough sleep, he would wake up feeling as though it wasn’t enough. Though, when he did the opposite before bed and told himself it was enough sleep, he woke up feeling great.

Another portion of this book is Hal going over what his steps were crucial to creating the miracle morning. He stresses the importance of getting up and starting your day off with a successful routine. He calls the miracle routine the SAVERS routine, which stands for Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing.

  • Silence for clearing your mind.
  • Affirmations for saying what you want to accomplish.
  • Visualization for seeing where you want to go and who you want to become.
  • Exercise for getting your blood flowing and staying healthy.
  • Reading so that you are constantly learning.
  • Scribing is important for writing things down and reflecting on them.

This is a book that I had heard about and went into without many high hopes. I thought that I might learn maybe a thing or two, but instead it changed my entire morning routine. This is definitely a life-changing book and I would suggest giving it a read. It might have the same effect on you that it did on me. Hal teaches a lot of great lessons in his book and everyone can stand to learn a thing or two from him. I start every weekday using his SAVER techniques and it has done wonders for my world. His stories and advice will definitely help lead you to a life of success and happiness.

  • This is a very inspiring book that might change your routine or even life.
  • It is a very easy read.
  • You will learn well spelled out systems to improve your routine.

  • Can be somewhat repetitive.
  • Must be willing to act on the system to get the full effect of this book.

Bottom line

I started this book and it immediately made me want to take action and have my own “miracle morning”. I am not really much of a morning person, but since starting this book I have become more of one than ever before. I found myself doing exactly what Hal said to do in the book and it worked wonders for me. There are some great lessons to be learned in this book and it’s not too long of a read. Although it can be a bit repetitive, Hal considers drilling the positive effects of taking action early in your day worth it.
